Privacy Policy

This site exists to explain one hill and one ticket: the Peak Tram ride up, the Sky Terrace 428 deck at the top, what each option costs, and the other ways to reach the Peak if the tram queue looks long. Reading any of it requires no registration, no login and no email address. There are no accounts and no forms anywhere on these pages, so no reader profile accumulates as you browse. The site is plain reading, and that is the whole arrangement.

What Reading Here Involves

Data collection here stays at the level of rolled-up counts. The site records how often a page about the Peak Tram fare or the Lugard Road loop was opened, a broad country signal taken from the request, the general device type, and which outbound links, including the ticket listing, were clicked in total. Nothing in that set points to a person. No email address, name, card number or individual browsing trail is gathered or stored. To these numbers, a thousand readers of the Sky Terrace 428 page are simply a thousand anonymous views.

Third-Party Scripts

A small number of third-party scripts run on these pages. The analytics tool collects its aggregate numbers under its own published terms, and any embedded map of Victoria Peak, the Peak Tram route or Central is served by the mapping provider, which may set its own cookies when it loads. Those parties see the request that reaches them and handle it according to the policies they publish themselves.

Nothing is bought on this site. When a reader decides on a Peak Tram ticket, the purchase is completed on the seller's own checkout after following a link, and that checkout alone collects the card number, the personal details and the voucher. No booking reference or buyer name ever passes through these pages. The relationship between the outbound links and the site's earnings is explained on the disclosure page.

Embedded Tools and Outbound Links

Hosting

Hosting sits behind Cloudflare, and its network keeps the ordinary server logs that any web host keeps: IP addresses, request times and similar technical details. Those records exist to keep the pages fast and to block attacks, and they sit under Cloudflare's own retention rules. This site does not read them, mine them or fold them into any audience count.

Your Choices

Readers who prefer not to be counted can open a private window or run a blocker, and the analytics will simply never load. Nothing breaks. The tram fare breakdowns, the walking notes for Mount Austin Road and every link to the live booking page render identically with tracking switched off, because none of the content depends on it.

Anything still unclear can be raised through the contact page, which holds a plain mailto link. The way this site earns money from its links is set out on the disclosure page.
